The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) proudly established its ACS Student Chapter in Fall 2024, under the faculty advisor guidance of Dr. D, whose leadership previously brought success and national recognition to the ACS chapter at Tarrant County College. This new chapter is positioned to provide students with opportunities for leadership, scientific engagement, and professional development in the greater Las Vegas area.
Leading the charge is the inaugural club president, Hannah, an exceptional and motivated student who, along with her team of dedicated ACS executives, is committed to building a strong foundation for the chapter. The CSN ACS chapter is now actively recruiting new members to join its community of aspiring chemists, with a shared goal of replicating and exceeding the success achieved at Dr. D’s previous institution. This is an exciting opportunity for students to connect, collaborate, and contribute to a legacy of excellence in chemistry and beyond.

If you want more, join the ACS Student Chapter for just $27 per year. ACS members get voting rights, can hold leadership roles, and can attend national meetings every year. You also gain access to the Southern Nevada Local Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) in addition to CSN’s student chapter. In addition you also get to transfer your membership to your 4-year institution like UNLV, UNR, or Nevada State if you not picking up one of our awesome environmental degree programs. It’s an awesome way to network, make connections, and stand out when applying to pre-professional schools.
